The Benefits of CCRA Membership
Monthly Educational Meetings
General Membership meetings are held the last Tuesday of every month (excluding December and sometimes June). Local industry experts give informative presentations to educate our members. Our lobbyists will also provide critical updates periodically to ensure that local housing providers understand what is happening in Olympia. Through education and high ethics, CCRA is pledged to raise professional standards of the industry and improve efficiency of rental property operations throughout the county.
Monthly Newsletter
Our newsletter includes relevant articles of interest written by industry authorities for our housing providers. It also provides real-time updates from our full-time lobbyists on activities in Olympia during legislative sessions.
Seminars and Landlord Training
Our periodic Educational Seminars and Landlord Training sessions are second to none. Our panel of presenters and industry experts cater to the needs of both new and seasoned landlords. And for the price, you will not find better value for the scope of education we provide.
Mentor Program
Upon joining, each CCRA member will be assigned a mentor to provide expertise, advice, and best practices tips. Mentors volunteer their time and energy to be of service to you and to assist in your success.
Legislative Representation
Your interests are served on vital issues by our State Legislative Lobbyists. A major focus of the Association is the education of our housing provider members of the key issues potentially impacting our industry. Included will be coaching and encouraging our members to contact their legislative representatives and senators. We need them to be well-informed of the perspective and experiences of housing providers.
WLA Statewide Representation
Our state association, the Washington Landlord Association (WLA) is comprised of rental housing and multifamily associations across the State of Washington. We are united in the goal of preserving free enterprise and protection of owners and managers of rental housing.
Industry Subscriptions
Members receive a complimentary subscription to the Rental Housing Journal, a monthly online magazine providing news and information to help rental housing and real estate professionals solve the everyday problems of managing their rental properties.
Rental Forms/Pamphlets
Many forms are available that protect your legal rights and help your business operate smoothly, legally, and more efficiently. We additionally have pamphlets that are required to be provided to your renters. These pamphlets provide guidance regarding mold prevention and control in all rentals and the handling of lead in pre-1978 units.
Associate Commercial Members
Our network of professionals and industry service providers offer members a selection of local services and retail products. Many offer special discounted rates for CCRA members. Look for the CCRA DISCOUNT STAR in the newsletter for vendors/service providers who offer discounts.
Tax Deduction
Membership dues and advertising costs may be written off as a business expense. Check with your tax professional.
